The Cynosure Affirm Anti-Aging Workstation is the most technologically advanced laser for skin rejuvenation. More than simply a laser, it is a comprehensive system designed to treat the multiple facets of aging, addressing the problems of hyperpigmentation, abnormal vascular lesions, scars, wrinkles, skin laxity, and long-term sun damage. It utilizes the principle of selective photothermolysis to destroy a specific target by emitting a precise dose of intense light energy. The 1320 nm wavelength targets slightly deeper dermal tissue and stimulates coagulation of collagen fibrils without heat injury to stimulate skin tightening. When these two wavelengths are delivered simultaneously, through the sophisticated Multiplex mode, the result is simutaneous skin rejuvenation at both deep and shallow layers of the skin for the best in anti-aging skin technology. Furthermore, Cynosure has developed a proprietary Combined Apex Pulse (CAP) array that delivers laser energy through a special lens construction that consists of approximately 1,000 diffractive elements affecting more surface area per single pulse. The Affirm includes a Xenon Pulsed Light (XPL) that delivers light at the 560 nm-950 nm wavelenghts, which preferentially treats melanin and blood. It is thus ideal for treating pigment problems in the skin and balancing the underlying skin color and tone, as well as treating disorders related to abnormal vascular lesions such as telangiectasias, spider veins, or rosacea.
