Laser Vein Therapy

(Includes facial veins, redness, red moles, spider veins, varicose veins)

The number of treatments required varies with the size and depth of each Spider Vein. For the maximum long-term resolution, multiple treatments may be necessary usually at six to eight week intervals. These procedures take place in office and normally each treatment takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes to complete and there is almost no downtime.

Following your treatment, you may be asked to wear support hose or heavy duty stockings to help keep pressure on the veins. This will help keep the treated veins closed. Any light bruising around the treated areas usually disappears after the first week. A tan or brownish pigment may persist for a few weeks when larger veins are treated. Most of the targeted veins will disappear in two to six weeks.

Keys to success with laser Spider Vein Therapy for the legs include the avoidance of hot baths and strenuous exercise and may include the short term use of compression stockings. Drs. Lui &  Rowe encourage Spider Vein Therapy patients to resume most normal activities almost immediately. You should refrain from vigorous activity for the first 24 hours following your treatment.
